Green Lantern directed by Greg Berlanti

Warner Bros has chosen Greg Berlanti to co-write and direct the movie Green Lantern.

Here an extract from an interview he gave to The Hollywod reporter:
"To me, this was on the last great comic book movie that hasn't been made," said Berlanti, who grew up reading comics in the 1980s. "It was a comic book with a real mythology that you would see in a lot of the space operas and the sci-fi books. The best part about it, anybody can be become one of the Green Lanterns because anyone can end up with that ring."

Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green also are writing the script, with Donald De Line on board to produce.

Things are on a good track ! Green Lantern, we are waiting for you !

Green Lantern Fanfilm Teaser by Cobra Production

The teaser here below has generated some buzz since it has been made available on the Internet.

It's not a real trailer of the upcoming Green Lantern movie.
But this fan made trailer was really well-done.

It shows john Stewart, the black-skin Green Lantern:

As we said in a former post (Green Lantern Movie), it is unclear which version of Green Lantern will be adapted.
So John Stewart may not be the one in the coming movie...
:)

The Green Lantern will have his movie !

Quotted from yahoo Movie:

This movie will be based upon the long-running character as published by DC Comics (on and off) since 1940, who has taken on several forms, but has always been a superhero who derives his ability from a green ring. The original Green Lantern's ring was magical; the latter Green Lanterns rings all came from the Guardians from the planet Oa.

As of this writing, it is unclear which version of Green Lantern will be adapted, but it's likely to be one of the characters whose ring has its origins in the Green Lantern Corps, an interplanetary police force organized by a race of aliens from the planet Oa called the Guardians. Using his ring, Green Lantern can shape and produce green energy of fantastic power that can be used to create solid objects, shoot energy bolts, and give Green Lantern the power of flight (including intergalactic travel).

I'm really glad to hear that the Green Lantern will adapted to the cinema.
I think this superhero deserves it. The question is: will the production choose a black actor or a white one? (question of version ;-p)
