If I'm completely honest, the first time I heard of this movie, I didn't bat an eyelid. I was like, "Seriously? Another vampire movie?". Hardly the fault of the producers because it's me who now have a certain kind of prejudice against vampires, thanks to Stephenie Meyer who put her wet dreams down into writing (four novels' worth!) for the world to see, all the while making Bram Stoker turn in his grave.
"What's that? Vampires in the future are pretty and glittery? NOOOO!!!" |
Ah crap... I just took another stab at the whole Twilight thingy.
Oh well. Anyway, yeah I had my reservations about this movie. Sure, it has Paul Bettany in it, but after watching the unbelievably bad Legion [2010], I know that even he is prone to making terrible choices about movies he choose to star in. But then I saw this;
Sure, it didn't look that impressive. Definitely not a must-see movie, but I have a feeling that it's gonna be a pretty good popcorn movie. Especially when they showed Paul Bettany's character ride that awesome-looking bike, and a couple of shots of him fighting another guy on a train.
Dear me... She's a beauty, isn't she? |
