Pilots are cool, there's just no two ways about it. There is something admirable about being supremely confident and good at what you do, and I would think that being a pilot is one of those professions or hobbies, where you pretty much HAVE to be competent. If you aren't, you tend to get weeded out fairly quickly. Gravity IS a harsh mistress after all.
Pilots also have a tendancy to be dashing. I personally believe that Hal has a long silk scarf and leather helmet with goggles hidden away in his closet somewhere. But I'm not really talking about Hal today. No, I'm talking about my OTHER favorite pilot.
Why, none other than the ineffable Lady Blackhawk.
I happen to adore Zinda for some reason. For one thing, she IS dashing. And competent and brave and adorable. She's also spunky...not to mention resilient. She would have HAD to be one crackerjack of a pilot even to have been taken on as a Blackhawk back in WWII, where female flyers were not exactly in large numbers. Then she managed to handle being snatched into the future with considerable aplomb and humor. She marched right into Warrior's and charmed the heck out of everyone, and managed to end up with a job and a home, which would certainly have been a daunting task.
Do I think that she had a threesome with Helena and Hal? I can certainly see her jumping Hal, because he IS awfully pretty, and Zinda does have an appreciation for men. I can't really see her doing it with Helena however. I do think that she managed to drink Hal under the table, which, let's face it, couldn't have been too hard, and then she and Helena left him tied up in their hotel room, along with the brandy bottle and a note. Oh, and the bill. Then they went home and told Dinah and Babs all about it, laughing their asses off. Dinah, then gave an expurgated version to Ollie. THAT would be why Hal was so flustered when Ollie began giving him the old "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" treatment, because he's terrified that the REAL version of what went on, will get out. You'll notice that he certainly didn't correct Ollie's version.
And maybe, just maybe, one of these days, Zinda will head on over and REALLY give old Hal a good time.
